    The individual’s responsibilities would include but not limited to preparing and/or booking journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, financial report creation and analysis, and assisting the Corporate Accounting, Reporting, and Controlling teams as needed!

    How You’ll Make an Impact

    • Assist in planning annual financial statements including schedules for internal and external audit.
    • Prepare calculations and journal entries for month accruals and provisions and interdepartmental entries.
    • Research technical accounting issues using IFRS guidelines and Siemens Accounting & Reporting Guidelines.
    • Assist Corporate Accounting, Reporting, and Controlling with month-end closing, business analysis, and financial reporting tasks.
    • Support for facilitating requests and project management with external auditor.
    • Assist with consolidating the long-range plan and annual goodwill impairment testing

    What You Bring

    • Undergraduate level student with specialty in Accounting or Business Administration. Considering the pursuit of CPA designation is preferred.
    • Preferable to have shown a curiosity about accounting through membership, volunteer or other related experience.
    • Strong skills in MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-PowerPoint. Including the ability to build and apply spreadsheets.
    • Strong problem solving, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong analytical, interpersonal, multi-tasking and attention-to-detail skills.
    • Ability to work quickly independently, as part of a team and accurately in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

    About the Team

    • Preparation and completion of all U.S. and Canadian SE financial statements.
    • Lead financial data releases to internal/external partners and governance over non-disclosure policy (NDA) locally.
    • Oversight over U.S. and Canadian financial statement topics, central accounting and technical topics including investments, equity, and goodwill. Governance over non-routine transactions and disclosure reporting.
    • Central business partner role for central topics and corporate functions
    • Responsible for oversight and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Management over reporting tools ( Ex. Focus+, SMART reporting ) including project support for implementation of new reporting applications (EPM+).
    • Main point of contact for external auditors and exemption requests for audit/non-audit services.
