    This position is for a Compressor Component Service Engineer

    The Gas Turbine Service Engineering organization has technical responsibility for the fleet of gas turbine engines currently in service. This includes providing technical recommendations, risk assessments, troubleshooting, issue resolution, solution development, and other functions.

    Service Engineering is responsible for providing technical support to the field service technical team at various locations around the globe. 

    How You’ll Make an Impact

    • Develop technical solutions/instructions in response to site, and repair facility issues.
    • Support product and procedure improvements to minimize non-conformances (both proactive and reactive)
    • Developing knowledge of compressor component design and life technical issues.
    • Collaboration and training with subject matter experts.
    • Present and discuss recommendations with commercial teams and external customers.
    • Leadership opportunities on special projects and investigation of field events.
    • Lead/support product and procedure improvements to minimize non-conformances (both proactive and reactive).

    What You Bring 

    • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 5+ years large gas turbine (LGT) experience.
    • Technical leadership for development and execution of field issues.
    • Applicant will be able to travel (domestic and international) in support of technical issues and customer meetings.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish are extremely important.
    • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed to support urgent customer issues.
    • Commercial knowledge of gas turbine contracts and project management are also a plus

    Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
