We are seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to join one of our clients as a Facilities Assistant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting various aspects of facility maintenance, grounds keeping, general administration, and day-to-day operational tasks.
Monday- Friday role- 9am-5:30pm with one hour for lunch.
Based Central Ipswich area.
- Conduct regular checks on external building conditions.
- Perform internal building inspections, including fire door assessments.
- Verify the status of fire extinguishers.
- Engage in weed pulling and grounds sweeping activities.
- Support the Grounds Maintenance Assistant with assigned tasks under supervision.
- Check and update the system
- Scan and review documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Regularly review and update the Asset Register.
- Review and organize completed forms.
Day to Day:
- Collect and manage paper waste.
- Monitor and replenish paper supplies.
- Serve as a runner for departmental needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of administrative tasks and document management.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
