We have a need for a skilled NDE Field Service Technician
. Our NDE Field Service Technician
travels to power plant sites across the Americas including the United States, Canada, Central and South America to provide nondestructive testing services.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Prepare for and support field service jobs at power plants located at domestic and international job sites.
- Perform field inspections per Siemens requirements.
- Travel (up to 75% annually for this position) to power plant sites.
- Support customer power plant outage planning and production control by ensuring the timely delivery of tools, personnel, and field inspection activities through the application of field service systems and procedures.
- Prepare shipments of test equipment for domestic and international shipping.
- Support development of new and continuous improvement of existing specialty service applications and tooling for use in the field.
- On-site and off-site technical and operational support in the design, development, installation and maintenance of equipment and systems of a complex nature.
- Communicate technology and inspection findings to global Siemens team members and with internal and external customers.
What You Bring:
Required:
- NDE Training, Experience and Certifications (UT, ET, PT, MT, VT).
- High School diploma required
- Must live within an hour drive of a major airport
- Must be Self-Driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.
- Very strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver the highest quality work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments.
- Innovative, creative, willing to share and explore new ideas.
- Must be able to pass extended background check for unescorted access to Nuclear power facilities.
- 3- 5 years of related work experience.
- Associate degree in NDE OR completion of a military or commercial NDE program.
- Demonstrated mechanical, hands-on skills.
- Demonstrated electrical/electronic, hands-on skills.
- Knowledge related to the inspection of turbine and generator components.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills associated with repair and diagnosis of equipment.
- Ability to understand and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
- Microsoft office skills.
- Prior experience with Siemens Field Service.
