German Gymnasium was originally designed as the first purpose-built gym in England, and used by the German Gymnastics team for the 1864 Olympics. Now a Grade II listed building, German Gymnasium, is conveniently situated in the heart of vibrant King’s Cross. Serving an all-day grand café style menu across the ground floor and vast terraces, for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. With a nod to its heritage the menu reflects a Germanic influence. The restaurant on the upper floor has its own spectacular bar and semi-private dining room with views of the award-winning interior to match.

A bit about what you will be doing: 

We are looking for an experienced Head Sommelier to join our team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, your role will be to successfully fully drive wine sales, manage an award winning wine list and ensure the seamless running of the wine service. You will leading wine service, enhancing our reputation for perfection and attention to detail ensuring our guest have a truly memorable and exciting experience.

You will be required to be a true hospitality professional, delivering warmth and charm to a wide range of restaurant guests.
