We are looking for a full-time qualified Lead Nurse who can clinically support and over-see our wonderful nursing department, whilst delivering on their own caseload.

We are looking for a qualified nurse with a clinical background, experienced in delivering effective clinical supervision and ability to innovatively lead a team.

To work closely with the teams manager in coordinating the smooth and effective running of the nursing department.
To complete regular and effective clinical supervision with the nurses employed by Priors Court and, with the support of the departments manager, to raise any concerns appropriately in line NMC code of conduct and Priors Court staff conduct policy and procedures.
To meet regularly with the nurses at Priors Court to clinically review any young people within their allocated case load that requires additional input or advice.
To be directly responsible for an allocated caseload.
To assist the nurses in the clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care for young people requiring additional input or advice.
Demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for young people within Priors Court.
To work collaboratively with the nursing team to meet the needs of the young people, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse mentoring as required.
Recognise and work within your own competence and professional code of conduct as regulated by the NMC, as well as ensuring the nurses at Priors Court work within their own competence.
To identify, with the nurses at Priors Court, required CPD courses and on the job mentoring experience.
Where necessary, liaise with other medical practitioners and / or clinicians, for young people requiring advanced clinical input or advise.
Where required provide or coordinate relevant competency training for care and / or education staff.
To review, alongside the Safeguarding Health and Wellbeing Manager, medical and healthcare policies and procedures in line with expected or required dates.
To act as a role model for the nursing team and wider staff team in maintaining accurate, consistent, up to date records and communications regarding the young people’s medical care.
To review, where necessary, medical care plans alongside the young peoples allocated nurse.
