Learning & Development Trainer

    Following a restructure within our Learning & Development Team we are excited to be recruiting for a Part Time (22.5 hours per week) Learning & Development Trainer.  You will report and be fully supported by the Deputy Learning & Development Manager and be accountability for the design and delivery of the classroom based training to meet the L&D needs of our Children’s Homes, Young Adult Provision and Foundation teams.  

    One of the benefits of being a Trainer with Prior’s Court Foundation is that you would be based in one location and have the ability to arrange your hours to suit you and your trainees who work a combination of shifts – Early, Late, weekend and night shifts. 

    This is a hybrid role requiring onsite and the option of some WFH flexibility when schedule allows.

    This opportunity would require a background from the Health & Social Care environment combined with the design and delivery of face-to-face training.   In addition, we are looking for you to have a working knowledge of Autism and challenging behaviour.


    This position lends itself to someone who has a flexible approach to hours, enjoys working within a small supportive team where accountability, excellent organisational and time management skills would be a key part of the role. 

    Outlined below are some of the day to day accountabilities :-

    ·       Design and delivery of face-to-face training focussing on Prior’s Court, Autism, Positive Behaviour Support and other Health & Social Care topics such as Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberties, Infection Control, Safeguarding, Safe Use of Meds, GDPR etc.

    ·       Working collaboratively with internal/external trainers and subject matter experts to agree course content and formats.

    ·       Work with agreed budgets ensuring value for money and return on investment.

    ·       Contribute to regular reports on activities for Management & Leadership Teams

    This position is 22.5 hours per week, across 5 days with occasional weekend working, early starts and late finishes based on trainee needs with some hybrid working onsite and WFH working pattern when able.
