Manufacturing Engineer

    As
    member of the Operation Excellence team the Manufacturing Engineer will be
    responsible to drive improvement projects related to production including shopfloor
    layout, fixtures, and tools as well as 5S topics. In addition, this position
    will be in close contact to customer engineering to setup production for new
    products.

    How You’ll Make an Impact

    • Develops manufacturing
      processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing,
      modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring
      with equipment vendors.
    • Reviews Engineering
      drawings and bill of materials with focus on tools and fixtures
      availability and special product design requirements.
    • Improves manufacturing
      efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and
      equipment layout.
    • Assures product and
      process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and
      process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing
      processes.
    • Provides manufacturing
      decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material
      costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor’s Degree required, Manufacturing Engineering
      degree or similar type preferred.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
    • Understanding of managing production processes.
      Production management experience is preferable.
    • This
      is line improvement position so candidate must have experience or desire
      to do line improvement through Lean and or Six Sigma applications.
