How You’ll Make an Impact
Main
responsibility is to ensure effective execution of regional major projects as
they relate to procurement, and work with cross-functional partners to optimize
and grow business.
Scope
of responsibility will be in Electrification, Automation & Digitalization
portfolio of Siemens Energy.
During bid/proposal stage, responsibilities include:
- Participating
in project/sales meetings as project core team member to exert a shaping
influence at an early stage from budget phase; determining best costs for go to
market; optimizing supply base; optimizing internal workflows and processes;
creating project procurement concepts and plans. - Supporting
project cost calculations with reliable material/services cost data.
During project execution stage, responsibilities include:
- Send
out request for quotations (RfQ), initiate / support technical clarification in
RfQ phase, compare quotes based on Total Cost of Ownership. Negotiate quotes
with traditional and Advanced Negotiation Techniques. - Select
supplier based on agreed guidelines (qualification status, Long Term Agreement
status, commodity strategy, supplier performance etc.). - Continuously
monitor own procurement plan, create, and update purchase orders, follow up on
execution such as order confirmation, progress, compliance with quality
requirements. - Support
and ensure compliance with transportation and customs requirements. - Key
Performance Indicators: Project related savings, On Time Delivery, Claim
Success, Process quality.
What
you Bring
- Bachelor’s
degree in an Engineering field (preferably in Electrical/automation
engineering) or Supply Chain Management is required. - Minimum
3 – 5 years of experience in supply chain management. - Must
have notable execution experience with suppliers from this industry, both local
& international. - Excellent
communication skills- position requires to interact closely between suppliers
& internal stake holders (Sales- Project Execution – Commercial – Cross
functional units), to ensure scope & requirement are adequately fulfilled
within timeline. - Possess
excellent English communication skills that enable you to work effectively in
the international environment. - Proficient
in SAP/ MS Office tools & applications, for reporting purpose. - Willing
to travel nationally and internationally.
