    About the role

    The project management roles are aligned to a number of different critical delivery workstreams across the transformation programme. You will be expected to work across programme and drive the successful delivery of your workstream in line with the programme plan. Your ability to work in a complex, fast paced environment is essential.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Delivery of a critical workstream within the AO2 programme to time, cost, quality, scope
    • Planning and management your assigned workstream
    • Monthly budget forecasting across team members, managed service, and third-party suppliers
    • Management of RAID across the workstream, ensuring timely mitigation/issue resolution to prevent impact to plan or escalation to the programme when required.
    • Provide weekly report to the Programme Manager and any other ad-hoc reports as requested
    • Supporting resource alignment across the workstream and working with the programme manager and resource managers to ensure performance against required deliverables to plan
    • Employ effective project governance to ensure delivery to time, cost, quality and agreed scope
    • Manage change control within the Programme Process
    • Ensure continuous improvement by holding retrospectives throughout the delivery at key points to support improved delivery for future releases

     

    What We Need from You:

    Essential Skills:

    • Experience of delivery in a large-scale transformation programme
    • Exceptional organisation skills including creation of and driving of workstream/project plans
    • Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and influence stakeholders/team members
    • Good communication skills to convey current project status and manage expectations
    • Ability to use initiative and make decisions
    • Ability to influence stakeholders and other teams including senior stakeholders across technical and non-technical directorates
    • Budget management experience
    • Prince2 Practitioner required
    • MSP Practitioner desirable
    • Agile experience desirable
    • Tenacious, insists on high level of performance and does not become resigned to the inevitability of delays.
    • Willingness to challenge the status quo and adopt innovative delivery mechanisms 
    • Structured and methodical, exercise correct judgement on when to step outside business-as-usual process
