Job title: PSHE Teacher
Location: Longdon Hall School, Staffordshire, WS15 4PT
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Salary: Up to £38,000.00 per annum (dependant on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

About the role
To be accountable for student progress and development within the curriculum area and maintain an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the professional duties of teachers. The postholder will be aware of the statutory framework within which they work and contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the policies and practice of the school.
To provide a first-class education to each student that attends the school, though their own professional development and be a role model of professionalism and good practice.
To work with senior leaders to identify, plan, deliver and evaluate targeted interventions with identified individuals.
General Responsibilities:
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils and young people;
- Work in accordance with professional practice, statutory and legal requirements and the policies of Longdon Hall School
- Take responsibility for specific areas of work which will be reviewed annually then negotiated and agreed within the performance management cycle and school improvement process;
- Set appropriate and achievable expectations and targets for pupils
- Ensure that parent/carers are well informed about the curriculum, targets, pupils’ progress and attainment.
Qualifications
- Grade C or above in Maths and English and subject specific qualification,
You will be adaptable and ready to work in a variety of classroom roles, both indoors and outside according to individual need. Taking a responsive and caring approach, you may be running classroom activities, leading outdoor experiences or supervising pupils as they explore further afield.
