R&D – Mechanical Design Engineer (stationary and rotating turbomachinery)

    How You’ll Make an Impact
    • Responsible to develop mechanical designs of machine components and systems from concept definition through detailed design
    • Responsible to optimize designs based on multiple constraints
    • Perform required design analyses such as strength analysis for mechanical and thermal loads
    • Develop design solutions based on similar components in other products, or new solutions as required
    • Support components manufacturing/procurement through interactions with external/internal vendors through all phases of design
    • Support turbomachinery testing and data analysis
    What You Bring
    • Must be fluent in English language, oral and written
    • Candidate must have B.S. degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years experience on the mechanical design of stationary and rotating turbomachinery components with emphasis on the design of expanders and/or turbine hot section
    • Experience with mechanical systems and mechanical design
    • Experience with mechanical modeling with Siemens NX CAD
    • Experience with ANSYS solid mechanics for static, dynamic and modal structural analysis, and thermal analysis
    • Experience with turbomachinery testing, instrumentation and test data analysis
