    We are looking for a receptionist, to work on a full time basis here at our beautiful premises in Hermitage.  This is a really varied role to offer visitors and the internal teams a front of house service including support administration. 

    Responsibilities

    Some of the day-to-day responsibilities include:-

    • To answer the telephone in a timely fashion, deal with visitor/phone enquiries, transfer calls and accurately relay any messages
    • To maintain reception area to present a business image
    • To formally identify visitors at the gate, provide access to site and ensure visitors are adhering to the security requirements by attending reception and signing in
    • Distribute incoming mail, frank, and collate outgoing mail
    • To arrange refreshments for visitors if necessary
    • Ensure correct paperwork is completed when Young People leave and return to the site ensuring medication is sent home where appropriate
    • Verifying ID where necessary
    • To ensure that all meeting rooms and visitor spaces are maintained to a high standard, rooms are tidied, and refreshments maintained
    • Take details for Parent/Professional mornings and send out letters, including newsletters to parents
    • Contact LA/Taxi to advise of collection times for young people – termly
    • To carry out general administration tasks such as filing and photocopying
    • Support staff in room booking system, monitoring room usage and no-shows
    • Work with the workforce team to welcome agency staff to site every day and ensure they are signing in, aware of where they need to go and have the correct fob/access equipment and that this is returned and accounted for every day
    • Work with the training team to ensure training areas are set up, cleaned, and maintained correctly and that delegates are welcomed and directed efficiently and professionally
    • Work with the Estates and Housekeeping teams to ensure that all areas in Court Building are clean and well maintained, raising tickets where required
    • Complete regular stock audits of consumables & uniform and process orders for replenishment through the Purchase Order system
    • Maintain the security of the resource room
    • Help monitor the bus booking system and assist the Estates Team to ensure buses are dropped off to homes in time for trips
    • To carry out any other relevant duties as requested by the Facilities Manager

    Prior’s Court was set up by Founding Patron Dame Stephanie Shirley, whose vision of a centre of excellence for children with autism became reality with the opening of Prior’s Court School in 1999. We have since grown to support around 90 young people with autism aged between 5-25 years with the opening of Prior’s Court Young Adult Provision in 2011.
