    Senior Planner

    Kier are currently involved in a major energy project in the South West (Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater in Somerset), delivering reinforced concrete, bulk earthworks and infrastructure on one of the UK’s largest projects. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planner to join our team.

    Responsibilities

    As Senior Planner, you’ll be working within the Nuclear Major Projects team, supporting in a major energy project delivering nuclear grade reinforced concrete and infrastructure on one of the UK’s largest projects. You would ideally have experience in installation of mechanical, electrical and fitout of RC frame buildings, alongside a thorough understanding of the NEC contract environment. Management of subcontractors and merging and auditing of subcontractor programmes will be an advantage.

    Your day to day as a Senior Planner will include:

    • Able to create programmes from 1 st principles, utilising M&E schedules, drawings and specifications
    • Create an integrated programme from subcontractor programmes
    • Audit subcontractor programmes for robustness
    • Update and monitor progress within a programme against contract requirements
    • Introduce and analyse change in programmes according to prescriptive NEC conditions

    What are we looking for in a Senior Planner?

    This role of Senior Planner is great for you if:

    • UK NEC contract based planning experience.
    • Must be familiar with reinforced concrete frame building techniques/methodologies.
    • Must be familiar with Impact/Delay Programmes
