Support Worker Full Time


    Join us as a Support Worker in Canterbury! You’ll be based in a busy and  friendly home, supporting people who are deaf or deaf/blind and have a range of support needs, including learning disabilities and autism.  No experience necessary as full training will be given.

    Canturbury, Kent – CT2

    Permanent Full Time – rotating shifts covering days and evenings

    £17,374.50 per annum based on 37.5 hours per week. 

     Your new job: 

    You will be working as part of a friendly team. Supporting vulnerable individuals who are deaf, have dual sensory loss as well as experiencing a learning disability, mental health difficulties and/or autism. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital part in providing the people we support with care and be able to profoundly improve their quality of life. You will assist people who are unable to live independently by offering them the practical help they need, as well as emotional support. 

    This may include: 

    • Completing and maintaining detailed records, reports and notes  
    • Cleaning, cooking and shopping
    • Planning and engaging in activities 
    • Administering and recording medication 
    • Complying with health and safety requirements

    You do not need to have experience to be a Support Worker, although a basic level of English and Maths is required. We employ our Support Workers based on their values and the willingness to learn skills in British Sign Language, understanding Deaf culture and promote personalised care.

    As a Support Worker, you will hold “Keyworker” status, have access to regular PCR testing, and be able to receive appropriate vaccines prior to commencing employment.
