    Join us as a Support Worker at DCA South West, Plymouth, which is a Domiciliary Care team that supports adults and young people with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, physical disabilities and associated health-related conditions to live a full and active life in their own homes in Plymouth.

    Location: Paignton, Devon, PL3

    Permanent, full and part time positions available 

    Additional Information: Shift work, which will include weekend working and sleep ins. We are also recruiting at Douglas House, Victoria House and Restormal

    You will be working as part of a friendly team, supporting vulnerable adults with a range of physical, mental and learning disabilities. As a Support Worker you will play a vital part in providing the people we support with care and be able to profoundly improve their quality of life. You will assist people who are unable to live independently by offering them the practical help they need, as well as emotional support. 

    This may include: 

    • Planning and engaging in activities such as walking, visiting charity shops, going to the cinema, cooking, baking, swimming and going to the gym
    • Prompting and supporting full personal care
    • Supporting individuals with verbal and physical behaviours that can challenge
    • Completing and maintaining detailed records, reports and notes   
    • Cleaning, cooking and shopping  
    • Administering and recording medication  
    • Complying with health and safety requirements

    You do not need to have experience to be a Support Worker, although a basic level of English and Maths is required. We employ our Support Workers based on their values.
