A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Technical Project Manager, you are responsible for the project management of gas turbine components development from investment casting to final assembly, placing particular emphasis on maintaining quality standards, schedules, and costs to achieve exceptional results in development and component pricing.
You actively contribute to the projects of new turbine components, lead and develop high-performing project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, attend to stand-ups, create reports for stakeholders and support the sub-projects leads by prioritizing. Your expertise in supplier management is also used to provide support at the external suppliers, ensuring consistently outstanding performance.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Drive business results by successfully managing the planning, execution, and closure of complex technical projects in the gas turbine industry. Participate in the formal vendor selection process, design of manufacturing reviews, Statement of Manufacturability and Purchasability (SOMP) process, supplying critical project insight by identifying cost and schedule influencers. Ownership of cost reduction (PRIO) project management by engine program and vendor
- Develop and implement strategic, innovative solutions to meet project goals while maintaining a strong value orientation
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering top-quality project outcomes and fostering strong relationships with both stakeholders and suppliers
- Oversee all aspects of project finance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Create Capital and Expense budget plans and manage these relative to the program development
- Manage project requirements and quality, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies
- Identify and mitigate project risks, leveraging opportunities for improvement, and effectively addressing any issues that may arise. Negotiate acceptable risk assessment and workaround plans with Turbine Design and Frame responsible, when necessary, to maintain at-risk schedules
- Foster collaboration and influence project teams and stakeholders, while maintaining intercultural sensitivity and awareness
- Lead and develop high-performing project teams, nurturing talent, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. React agile to changes and find with the team measures to mitigate the risk to fail
What You Bring
- Engineering degree in manufacturing technology, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a similar discipline
- Ideally, knowledge of investment casting and the supplier industry, several years of professional experience (at least 5 years) in project management, preferably within the gas turbine industry
- Experience in an international environment and in working with interfaces between R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Supplier Management. Ideally, experience with turbine hot gas parts (blades and vanes) and/or their manufacturing and testing technologies
- Experience as an engineer in project management, demonstrated leadership skills and experience in development of virtual, cross-functional, and internationally composed teams
- Proven track record of successful project delivery and financial management
- Fluent English and German language skills are required
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, organizational talent, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on intercultural sensitivity

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
