Technical Writer for Commissioning Manuals (f/m/d)

    A Snapshot of Your Day 
    In your work as technical writer for commissioning manuals, you will be responsible for writing and compiling commissioning manuals for Siemens Energy projects, as well as supporting site commissioning teams on site documentation issues.
    Within this role, you will be the contact person for commissioning manuals and commissioning documentation issues to all involved partners in a project, including but not limited to project management, customers, consortium partners and commissioning teams.
    How You’ll Make an Impact 
    • During the tendering phase of a project, you support bid management by commenting customer’s specifications regarding commissioning manuals and commissioning documentation, together with a corresponding cost impact
    • During the execution phase of the projects, you will write and compile project specific commissioning manuals in accordance with the Siemens Energy scope of supply, standards, engineering documents and contractual requirements. You will pay special attention to the tests on completion and make sure that all contractual acceptance criteria are covered within the commissioning acceptance tests
    • During commissioning, you will support the commissioning teams remotely to achieve a complete and comprehensive commissioning documentation
    What You Bring
    • Optimally completed studies in the field of power plant or power transmission engineering, or professional experience gained through several years of work in a similar field
    • Several years of commissioning experience, preferably mechanical
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Business fluent German and proficient English, combined with strong negotiation skills. Further language skills are an advantage
    • Enjoyment and experience in working with multicultural and interdisciplinary teams
    • Eloquent, convincing, and self-confident appearance
    • Willingness for occasional travel
