    Insight Employment are seeking a Warehouse & Logistic Team Leader
    to work for a local client of ours in Leighton Buzzard.

    The Role: –

    This role is fast paced with multiple small consumable orders to be sent out within 24-48 hours to a large customer base across the UK but primarily within London and the Home Counties. Along with Goods In and warehouse organisation this role involves managing a small team and being ready to adapt to daily changing customer requests as well as planning for future days and weeks workloads.

    We are looking for an experienced & committed individual to join our busy operations team. The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure and have a positive can-do attitude. They will possess the ability to manage several tasks at once while remaining calm and collected and getting the job done.

    In this varied role you will play a vital part of our operation team as follows: –

    You will be responsible for planning routes and dispatch via various transport methods always ensuring maximum efficiency is achieved. You will support the warehouse in all aspects including picking & packing, stock taking, goods in/out and housekeeping. You will be comfortable working on your feet and lifting up-to 25kgs, with a focus on meeting individual and team KPI’s. You will have attention to detail and be proactive in your approach, looking out for ways to improve the warehouse & logistics function.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities: –

    • Oversee dispatch via all transport methods including planning routes for own vehicles.
    • Working with 3rd party carriers to fulfil orders quickly and efficiently.
    • Liaising with customers where required via phone and email. Including proactively following up failed deliveries and resolving customer delivery issues.
    • Maintenance of vehicles.
    • Picking & Packing and preparing deliveries for dispatch.
    • Checking deliveries in/out, including unloading deliveries.
    • Recording of key KPI’s and working to improve these.
    • General housekeeping.

    • Ability to see pass the immediate Day-to-Day tasks and to forward plan for additional ad hoc task or department improvements.

    Requirements & Qualifications: –

    • 3 years warehouse experience, including Picking & Packing, goods in/out.
    • Good geographical knowledge of the UK especially the South.
    • Must be computer literate with good data entry and attention to detail.
    • Good telephone manner.
    • Excellent communications skills including good verbal and written English.
    • Good numeracy skills both mental and written.
    • Clean Driving licence – minimum of 2 years, over 25 for insurance purposes experience of driving large vans would be beneficial.
    • Forklift licence preferred although training may be provided for the right candidate.
    • Physically fit, must be able to lift, up to 25kgs multiple times throughout the day.
    • Ability to move between tasks and work independently and as part of a team using own initiative and given direction to other team members.
    • Experience of FMCG would be an advantage.


    Mon – Fri 07:00am-16:30pm

    Salary: –

    29k-30k per annum per depending on experience.
