    Your new company

    You will be working for a fantastic children’s residential care home in North London. The home provides high-quality care and support for children and young people with emotional and behavioural disorders.

    Your new role

    As a deputy manager, your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth running of the home and the best outcomes for the young residents. You will assist the manager with the management of the home, including the staff, the budget, the resources and fabric of the building and the welfare of the children and young people, with the objective of achieving the highest standard of service delivery as measured by Ofsted against the National Minimum Standards.

    What you’ll need to succeed

  • An NVQ Level 3 and/or working towards a level 5 with children and young adults
  • Two years’ recent experience of working with children/young people who are at risk in a residential or community-based setting.
  • A good knowledge of the legislation, standards and safeguarding practices for residential childcare
  • A commitment to the welfare and development of children and young people
