My client, one of Europe’s biggest contractors, is currently recruiting for a Design Manager to work on a high profile rail project in the North of England.
The Design Manager will be responsible for coordinating the design elements and interfaces of specific task or project dependent on size and complexity. They will fully understand and manage the design requirements of the tender/project ensuring that the design is delivered in line with the programme requirements and is of a quality that reflects the budget constraints.
Suitable candidates will liaise with the Site Management for the development of design package and procurement strategies. Suitable candidates will be diploma/degree qualified in engineering with a minimum of 5-10 years experience.Candidate requirements:
- Demonstrate sufficient experience in the role of Design Manager in a construction environment
- Degree in Civil Engineering, HND or HNC
- 5 year’s experience working in the Civil Construction Industry
- Temporary Works procedure, PTS, NR’s Design Approval process, CDM for Designers, CDM Awareness experience
