Driver And Production Operative



    The job will require the successful candidate to split their time between being on the road, carrying out deliveries within 1 day’s drive of Head Quarters in Hendon (although occasional overnight stays away may be required) , and carry out duties within the factory, assisting with hardware assembly, cleaning and packing and occasionally operating the fork lift truck (subject to further formal training which we will provide).

    Experience as a delivery driver and a clean license is required but prior experience in a manufacturing environment is desired but not mandatory as full training will be provided during onboarding. No qualifications are required as we provide training, but we want you to be committed and motivated. You will need to ensure that your duties are carried out with a high degree of accuracy and diligence is maintained throughout.

    About you

    You must:

    • be legally able to work in the UK.
    • have a full clean UK driving license.
    • reside in the vicinity of NW9. Our premises are located in North West London, NW9
    • have a positive and helpful attitude and provide excellent customer service during deliveries
    • have a careful, thorough & conscientious approach to assembly
    • have the ability to listen and follow instructions
    • have good time management skills
    • be able to work independently and as part of a team
    • have a high attention to detail to allow you to ensure deliveries are made correctly and when working in the factory to meet a high level of production standard and efficiency
    • Be physically fit for manual handling work and heavy lifting
    • Be able to stand for long periods of time


    Driver duties

    • Loading the delivery vehicle from a staging area
    • Delivering to residential locations
    • Delivering to commercial locations

    Factory duties

    • Undertake maintenance and general housekeeping and safety of the production area
    • Take good care of allocated company assets and tools
    • Packing outbound goods and unpacking inbound goods.
    • As appropriate, operate forklift truck, following completion of required external training course which we will provide.
    • Other factory duties as required
    • Ensure Health & Safety and 5S policies are followed

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    Training will be made available for the right candidate. Although no experience is needed, to be considered as a Driver and Production Operative, you will need to demonstrate:

    • Confidence and motivation to provide a high level of service to the business and customer
    • Basic IT Skills, use of computer and communications skills

    25 days of holiday per annum + Bank Holidays.

    Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 per year
