    As a Fine Grinding Machine Operator & Telehandler Forklift Operator (working 5 days from 6, from 8am – 4.30pm, working x2 Saturdays a month & Mon – Fri on the other weeks).for this Lincolnshire based Wood Biomass processing business
    , you will play a key role within the manufacturing team, operating the Fine Grinding Wood Machines, as well as line feeding / loading & transporting raw wood waste materials using the Telehandler Forklift / MHE. A major part of the process.

    This is a key role within the team, processing virgin wood chip (untreated & clean) into renewable energy sources & other wood chip based premium quality products (fine grinding, milling & drying of wood chips, processing them into wood pellets for fuel, animal bedding & cat litter), helping the UK to significantly reduce landfill waste & promoting a sustainable future, producing a valuable renewable alternative to finite fossil fuels.

    You will be an experienced Machine Operator
    from within a Wood, General Waste Recycling or Forestry products manufacturing sector, with previous exposure to similar machinery.

    You will be comfortable operating the Wood Grinding Machines (chipping / milling)
    & driving a Telehandler Forklift, to load the raw Wood waste materials into the Grinders for processing.

    Duties:

    • Feeding & Operating the Wood Grinding Machines (grounding & pounding down / chipping / milling) working to a daily raw product processing production schedule.
    • Moving the raw wood material using a Telehandler Forklift to load / feed the Grinder.
    • Observing panel control lights for indication of malfunction, adjusting settings to regulate feed of waste wood products into the horizontal feed Grinders (Tub Grinders).
    • General housekeeping of working areas, ensuring all areas are safe, clean & tidy.

    Attributes:

    • Experience of operating Wood Grinding machines would be ideal or similar Machinery (training can be given).
    • Wood Recycling or General Recycling work background is beneficial.
    • Forklift or Telehandler operating license.
    • Knowledge of WAMITAB would be useful (not a must).
