    Maintenance Manager Job Summary:
    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations at our cutting-edge Energy from Waste facility in Berkshire. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of all plant machinery and equipment through comprehensive maintenance programs. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and environmental sustainability.

    Maintenance Manager Key Responsibilities:

    1. Maintenance Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies to ensure optimal performance and reliability of plant machinery and equipment.
    2. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, engineers, and contractors, providing guidance, support, and training as necessary.
    3. Maintenance Planning and Scheduling: Plan and schedule routine maintenance activities, shutdowns, and repairs to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
    4. Equipment Inspection and Monitoring:
      Conduct regular inspections and monitoring of plant equipment to identify potential issues, defects, or areas for improvement.
    5. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Oversee troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and technical issues promptly and effectively.
    6. Compliance and Safety:
      Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, implementing appropriate measures to mitigate risks and hazards.
    7. Budget Management: Manage the maintenance budget effectively, optimizing resources and expenditures while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
    8. Vendor and Contractor Management:
      Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements and quality standards.
    9. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, performance metrics, and equipment history, preparing reports and analysis as required.
    10. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and overall plant performance.

    Maintenance Manager Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).
    • Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a similar industrial or energy facility.
    • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
    • Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
    • Proficient in maintenance planning, scheduling, and budget management.
    • Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory authorities.
    • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
