    About the Role:
    Hays Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Islington. As a Music Teacher, you will inspire and engage students in Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) Music. Your role will involve planning and delivering high-quality music lessons, fostering creativity, and nurturing students’ musical talents.


  • Design and deliver engaging music lessons that align with the national curriculum and cater to the needs of KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Develop students’ musical skills, including instrumental proficiency, music theory, composition, and performance.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated and supported.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and track their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to organise music events, concerts, and performances.
  • Encourage student participation in extracurricular music activities and clubs.
  • Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching music at KS3 and/or KS4 level.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and various musical genres.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students through creative teaching methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to promoting a love for music and fostering students’ musical abilities.
  • Additional Information:

  • This is a temporary position starting from Easter 2024, with the option of transitioning to a permanent role from July 2024.
