    Our client is a privately owned company situated in Leatherhead, seeking a Projects / Commissioning Engineer to join its team. The successful candidate will manage and co-ordinate the delivery of their projects and carryout final commissioning and handover to their clients. You will be responsible for the full cost control and resolution of any disputes, including production of monthly reports and cost forecasts, and achieving projected revenues and gross margins.

    • £40,000 – £45,000

    Job specification:

    • Review sales orders against specification and design requirements in consultation with the Sales Engineer.
    • Translate specifications and instructions into equipment, material, and invoicing schedules.
    • Raise purchase orders for equipment, materials and sub-contract works.
    • Appoint labour.
    • Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
    • Agree installation schedule with client.
    • Liaise with purchasing regarding equipment availability and delivery schedules.
    • Ensure all customers are informed of engineer’s attendance dates promptly.
    • Support engineers on site as necessary and appropriate.
    • Attend sites as and when appropriate to do so.
    • Provide constructive and supportive input always.
    • Carry out testing, commissioning, and handover to clients.

    Person specification:

    • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
    • Excellency in verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
    • Proven experience of managing the successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects within the HVAC industry, or be prepared to learn the skills necessary to fulfil the role.
    • Working knowledge of mainstream HVAC systems.
    • Ability to produce Risk and Method Statements.
    • Ability to manage and influence both internal & external stakeholders at all levels.
