Purchase Ledger ClerkWe are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable processes.

    Day-to-day of the role:

    • Processing and verifying invoices with purchase orders, and ensuring timely payments to suppliers.
    • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions related to accounts payable.
    • Assisting with month-end closing procedures and preparing reports as required.
    • Handling supplier queries and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensuring adherence to financial policies and compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Collaborating with the procurement and inventory teams to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately reflected in the ledger.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger Clerk role or similar position.
    • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes within the FMCG sector.
    • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
    • AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
