    Job description – the role

    AMS is the world’s leading provider of Talent Acquisition and Management Services. Our contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) service acts as an extension of our clients’ recruitment team and provides professional interim and temporary resources. We partner with Arup to support contingent recruitment processes. On behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Senior MEP BIM Technician for a 6-month contract based in London on a hybrid basis.

    Candidate Profile: Key accountabilities, skills & experience

    About the Opportunity:

    Based in central London, our Building Engineering group is undergoing continuing growth and development as it continues to win major work in the masterplanning, commercial, residential, arts & culture, media and studio sectors. Arup has developed a global BIM strategy and standard which we continue to implement to better serve our clients while implementing digital solutions to drive improvements in our quality of deliverables and remain at the cutting edge of the market.

    In this role you will be:

    • Working with the Project Manager, BIM Lead and discipline engineers to define deliverables schedules, and implementing these within the model
    • Supporting the project team with technical delivery using Revit and other BIM related software
    • Modelling of a range of MEP services, including but not limited to mechanical pipework, ventilation, lighting, power, containment and drainage.

    Essential Skills and Qualifications:

    • BTEC ONC / NC in Building Services Engineering or higher.
    • Experience within the building services industry (consultancy or contractor).
    • Excellent understanding of model and drawing production using Revit MEP.
    • An in depth understanding of industry standards in particular BS EN ISO 19650.
    • Experienced in preparation of drawings and models with little to no input from engineers, using own experience to develop output from sketches provided by engineers .
