    A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAY
    The Team Leader of the Supplier Support Team’s (SST) role involves day to day organisation and task setting and support for:
    –  Provide supplier technical support through the component qualification process.
    –  Providing technical support for general enquiries from Suppliers, Supplier Quality, Procurement and Manufacturing, making engineering judgements regarding components or assemblies that deviate from specification.
    –  Helping Supplier Quality investigate supplier non-conformances and introduction of containments and solutions.
    –  Capacity planning, technical guidance, and prioritisation of the SST workload.
    HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
    –  Your technical guidance within the component pre-qualification process will help Supplier Quality to ensure that a stable and high-quality production process is established.
    –  Your relationship with suppliers will ensure that technical issues are addressed.
    –  You will directly impact the effect of non-conforming parts on production.
    –  You will directly assist in the development and growth of team members and the department.
    WHAT YOU BRING
    The successful candidate will approximately fit the following criteria:
    A Mechanical Engineer educated to degree level.
    Good understanding of how a core gas turbine works.
    Understanding of materials and coatings used within gas turbines is desirable.
    Good understanding engineering drawings and technical specifications.
    Project management, leadership and managing multi-functional teams experience is desirable.
    Good communications skills and problem-solving skills, including presentations to large groups, and interactions with all levels of business and customers.
    Autonomous in daily working, whilst engaging as part of a team and willing to offer support to others.
    Competent MS Office user
