Technical Service Sales Specialist

    A Snapshot of Your Day 

    As a Technical Service Sales Specialist, you are responsible for driving our services business focused around transformers, AIS, GIS, engineered substation solutions (including HVDC/FACTS) as well as Asset as a Service programs. A particular focus will be placed on substation (MV and HV) modernization / upgrades, long terms service agreements, operation & maintenance (O&M) services while incorporating the digital aspects of preventive / proactive service. You will utilize your technical expertise to conduct competitive analysis and define the best opportunities for success to drive growth and expansion in the service portfolio. Engaging with customers, you will present technical solution concepts, explain benefits, and build strong relationships throughout the sales cycle. You will analyze the market and together with the Hub Sales team, you bring our service solutions and capabilities to the market, providing customers with a unique perspective on improving their business by utilizing Siemens Energy’s service portfolio offering and resources.

    Additionally, you play a key role in proposal management, forecasting and contribute to strategic decision-making together with the execution unit. Your proficiency in electrical engineering, equipment knowledge, and customer relationship building combined with your analytical skills make a significant impact on the overall success of the business.

    How You’ll Make an Impact 


    • Work with Account Management teams to drive Siemens Energy Services including digitalization.
    • You will develop growth opportunities, sales pipeline with existing and new customers in conjunction with the execution units.
    • You will support cost price data, optimization, and value intelligence for individual sales opportunities.
    • You will drive the sales process including technical scope definition and offerings, Risk review, market pricing, and support of proposal development.
    • In this position, you will provide proactive support by assisting the service BU in the preparation of bids and conducting competitive analysis.
    • You will participate in customer meetings to explain the benefits and use cases. You will be responsible for identifying and creating high-quality leads; maintaining and developing customer relationships throughout the sales cycle will also be part of your role.
    • Travel within North America approximately 50% of your time


    What You Bring 

    • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, Sales or field services.
    • Digital and Consulting background is considered as an added advantage.
    • Able to identify business opportunities and provide expertise in translating customer requirements and needs into service and digital opportunities.
    • Customer focused, Result oriented, Team Player
    • Additionally, your analytical ability and result-oriented approach will enable you to provide suitable solutions and compelling arguments.
    • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
