Electrical Maintenance Engineer

    We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s team in Hexham.

    Our client is a well-established engineering company operating in a medium to heavy engineering background. They are looking for a dedicated professional who can contribute to their ongoing success.

    Salary £37K – £45K

    Shifts: Day Shift Only

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct maintenance checks on all plant and machinery
    • Perform planned maintenance on all plant and machinery during shutdown periods
    • Carry out repair and corrective work on all low voltage (LV) electrical installation work, including lighting and sockets
    • Handle maintenance tasks both reactively and proactively for all LV plant and machinery
    • Demonstrate expertise in working on 3-phase motors and machinery, including fault finding and test and inspection
    • Utilise controls experience with inverters, PLCs, and process controls, including fault finding and some programming skills
    • Execute electrical installation work, such as lighting and containment

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience working in a maintenance environment
    • Experience working in a medium to heavy engineering background would be advantageous
    • Proficiency in working on 3-phase motors and machinery, including fault finding and test and inspection
    • Strong knowledge of controls, including inverters, PLCs, and process controls, with excellent fault finding skills and some programming skills
    • Competence in electrical installation work, such as lighting and containment
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
    • Flexibility to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
