Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with autism, learning disabilities, and challenging behaviour within a primary school setting.
- Developing and executing individualised support plans tailored to the needs of autistic pupils.
- Collaborating effectively with teachers, parents, and professionals to ensure pupils’ requirements are addressed.
- Providing training and guidance to staff on optimal approaches for supporting autistic pupils.
- Coordinating with external agencies and professionals to secure appropriate support for pupils.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with autistic pupils with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
- Knowledge of autism and related conditions.
- Understanding of strategies for managing challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work harmoniously with colleagues and stakeholders.
