Oppo Find X3 Pro 5G Review – the flagship that’s hard to beat

The Oppo Find X3 Pro blends exceptional design with cutting-edge hardware specifications

In the world of smart technology, making the smart choice on your next device can sometimes seem like searching for a needle in a haystack. With so many options available on the market, where do you begin?

If it’s effortless functionality and seamless design you’re searching for in your next phone, you can’t go wrong with new powerhouse, Oppo. In recent years, Oppo has made significant steps into the European phone market, and with results such as those you’ll find in the X3, it’s clear to see why the brand has cemented itself as a genuine and reliable alternative to the more well-known brands.

The Find X3 Pro 5G seamlessly blends style and substance to create a phone with features you’ll struggle to find elsewhere.

Sleek beyond sleek, the Oppo Find X3 Pro has a glass back which curves smoothly upwards – an engineering marvel that feels even nicer to hold. All in all, the X3 is one of the most striking flagship handsets available on the market.

In terms of its many features, the Oppo Find X3 Pro is hard to fault. Thanks to its brand-new Full-Path Colour Management system, the videos and photos you capture never get compressed or altered, resulting in a camera feature that’s leaps and bounds above the competition.

But it’s main “wow-factor”? That undoubtedly sits on the phone’s outer-edge by way of its camera.

Pictures taken on the main camera are bold, colourful with plenty of contrast and an abundance of detail. As for the rest of the cameras, they’re pretty exceptional. The Find X3 Pro’s portrait mode is also marginally better than competitors available on the market which have a tendency to remove details from faces.

As a long-time Apple user, making the switch to Android came with a cloud of cynicism before use –  but using the Find X3 Pro melted those prejudices away in a flash. Fast to navigate and easy to use, you can flick between menus and jump in and out of apps with minimal fuss.

Its in-display fingerprint scanner is lightning fast, while the interface is more customisable than most devices available, allowing you to adjust the layout of the home screen, add new themes, change the look of app icons and switch between Roboto and OppoSans fonts.

That said, if you’re willing to take a step off the well-trodden path, you’ll be rewarded with the VIP of Androids.

Overall verdict

Great for:

  • Camera
  • Good-looking design
  • Software customization
  • Battery life
