As many people started their own projects during the beginning of Covid, Ryan Ennis’ passion was DJing and producing on a bigger scale than what he had been introduced to before. He explains how since he was young, he had watched and been inspired by his older brother Jamie, who was himself a DJ and Producer.

“I chose this path as music has always been a big part of my life, every memory I have there is always a song that clicks with that time, it has always been a big part of my life so being able to make and release my own music is a dream for me”.

Close has been huge achievement for the artist. He explains how looking back at all his productions; Ryan sees hints of every song within it, summarising how far the artist’s music has developed. Ryan was keen to create a song with an emotional feel throughout while having a summer feel in the chords.

The artist explains that his music is made to make people dance. Going onto highlight that when he enters the production process, the thought process throughout is, “will this make people want to jump up and just dance”.

Anyone who knows me, will tell you straight away Avicii has been a huge influence for me, he is the person who made me fall in love with dance music, consistent belters which all bring up memories of my childhood.

Ryan explains that a major challenge in the pursuit of his dream has been trying to juggle his studies and music all at once. Having recently completed his law degree, he finds himself in a position where he can concentrate fully on his music knowing he has a plan B in the pocket.

In his opinion, offering advice is a very difficult element to judge. Hard work and devoting a lot for your music will get you there, he points out. Accepting the fact that you can always be better and to never stop until you get to where you want to be!#watchthisspace
