Preparing your eggs has become a lot more interesting with the latest Instagram food fad.
Everyone has their preferences – some like their morning egg fried, scrambled, poached or boiled but the Internet has discovered a new addition to this family: whisked fluffy photogenic cloud-like eggs.
Not only are they a nutritious option for your breakfast, but they also pack around 160 calories of protein and healthy fats.
It looks cool, tastes great, and is quick to make at home, so it is definitely worth following this easy recipe:
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 230C/450F/Gas Mark 8.
Step 2: Crack your egg in a bowl and separate the egg white from the yolk. Place the yolk in a different bowl, and then whip the egg white for a minute or so until the consistency has thickened and fluffed out.
Step 3: If you want to jazz up your cloud egg and get creative then add anything from herbs, pieces of meat, such as bacon or chicken, cheese, or seasoning.
Step 4: Grab a backing tray and spoon the mixture of fluffed egg white into small cloud piles. Make a tiny dip in the centre, and then bake the mix until the peaks brown, or for up to eight minutes. It really is a quick way to make lots of eggs at once!
Step 5: Check on the eggs and when they are ready take them out and carefully add the egg yolk into the middle of each cloud. Put them back in the oven for a further three minutes.

Perfecting the art of cloud eggs may take a few tries, but the egg meringue is definitely worth cooking, and tastes delicious. Living in England we could do with a little less clouds, but the yolk, like the sun, will put a bit of sunshine into your cloud eggs to hopefully kick start your day!
